Alex Torke is the Director of Safety and Security for the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas, where he oversees security operations for one of the largest convention and event facilities in the country. Recent work includes the 2024 NRA Annual Meeting, featuring an address by President Trump; youth sporting events drawing 70,000 attendees; and the International Broadcast Center for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He has also conducted venue security assessments nationwide for Live Nation.

Alex came to venue security through the US Marine Corps and the Santa Clara Police Department. As EOD Coordinator during the construction of Levi’s Stadium, he developed the venue’s all-hazards screening, response, and mitigation policies and protocols. He co-chaired the EOD Subcommittee for Super Bowl 50 and later served as Interior Chief in the Special Operations Division, responsible for the overall law enforcement mission within the stadium footprint. He also led the early development of the department’s public safety UAS program.

He holds a BS in economics from San Jose State University and an MBA and MS in business analytics and artificial intelligence from the University of Texas at Dallas.
